5-stream sorting decree: SBC solutions

The law on energy transition for green growth encourages the fight against waste, the reduction of waste at source, its sorting and recovery.
Decree no. 2016-288 of March 10, 2016 requires waste producers and holders (companies, businesses, administrations…) to sort 5 waste streams at source:

to promote the recovery of these materials. Special attention is paid to office paper waste.

Which companies are affected by the 5 Flux decree?

All producers and holders of waste who are not private individuals: companies, businesses, craftsmen, administrations, local authorities, associations… are concerned by this obligation as long as :

– that their waste is collected by a private service provider

– or they are collected by the public waste service and represent, all waste combined, more than 1,100 liters per week.

SBC can help you manage your industrial waste, providing you with a complete range of storage and handling skips adapted to the different materials to be recycled, taking into account their technical constraints.

Effects on the environment…

The 5-stream decree is a perfect opportunity for your company to demonstrate its good environmental intentions, which, in addition to the immediate benefits for waste processing and the entire industry, will probably have a positive commercial impact.

Energy savings and improved economic performance!

Implementing a company-wide sorting policy can also save considerable amounts of energy and money, thanks to better-identified areas of waste. According to a report by Ademe, the cost of waste management represents an average of 0.5% of a company’s sales and around 6% of its EBITDA.
